Overview

BLX® 3010 is a non-discoloring stabilization system developed for polyurethanes.

Chemistry

Chemical Name:             Proprietary

CAS Number:                   Proprietary

Typical Properties

Product Form:                 Solid

Applications

BLX® 3010 provides excellent performance as both an antioxidant and as a light stabilizer in thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPU), including both aliphatic and aromatic types. It is also useful in polyurethane-based adhesives and sealants. Due to its inherently non-discoloring nature, BLX® 3010 is ideal for use in transparent or light-colored substrates. It can also be used in combination with optical brighteners such as BENETEX® OB. BLX® 3010 may also be suitable for the
stabilization of rigid PVC and PBT.

Advantages

  • Provides excellent heat and light stability in polyurethanes
  • Less discoloring as compared to other stabilization systems
  • Non-interacting with reactive monomers and metal-based polymerization catalysts
  • Suitable for use in combination with optical brighteners

Guidelines for Use

Suggested use levels in polyurethanes range from 0.1 to 2% by weight. The exact formulation to be used is dependent on the substrate, performance requirements, and other factors, and should be determined by the user based on testing to simulate actual conditions of use. Please contact your
Mayzo representative for specific recommendations for your application.

Storage

This product may be stored up to two years in a sealed container. Containers should be kept tightly closed when not in use and stored in a cool, dry place.
