Applications
EXP BLS® 3346 is a highly effective light stabilizer in polyolefins in both thick- and thin-section applications, including polypropylene, polyethylene, olefin copolymers, and TPOs.
Advantages
- Highly effective as a light stabilizer in plastics, in both thin and thick sections
- Provides enhanced long-term thermal oxidative stability in polyolefins
- Non-discoloring, low volatility, excellent resistance to extraction and migration
- FDA compliant
Guidelines for Use
Suggested use levels range from 0.1 to 1% by weight. The exact recommendation depends on the substrate, processing conditions, and the nature of the end-use application. Combinations of EXP BLS® 3346 with other light stabilizers, such as HALS, UV absorbers, and benzoates, often show synergistic performance. The exact formulation to be used is dependent on the substrate, performance requirements, and other factors, and should be determined by the user based on testing to simulate actual conditions of use. Please contact your Mayzo representative for specific
recommendations for your application.
Storage
This product may be stored up to two years in a sealed container. Containers should be kept tightly closed when not in use and stored in a cool, dry place.
Safety
Please consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) prior to handling or using this product.
FDA Regulations
EXP BLS® 3346 has been cleared for use in certain food contact applications under 21 CFR §178.2010 (antioxidants and/or stabilizers for polymers). Please consult the Food Contact Regulations Data Sheet for complete details, including limitations of use.
