Applications
BNX® 1225 is a convenient blend of both a primary and secondary antioxidant. This synergistic blend addresses a broad range of stabilization needs. It is ideal for use as a melt processing stabilizer in polyolefins, including polypropylene, polyethylene, olefin copolymers, and TPO. This product is also useful as an antioxidant and processing stabilizer for adhesives, elastomers, powder coatings, polyurethanes, styrenic polymers, and engineering plastics.
Advantages
- Provides protection during high temperature processing and long term heat aging
- Synergistic performance with thioether secondary antioxidants
- Ease and convenience for compounding operations
- Extensive FDA clearances
Guidelines for Use
Suggested use levels range from 0.05% to 1%. Combinations with thioether secondary antioxidants often show synergistic performance on long-term heat aging. BNX® 1225 is also suitable for use in combination with light stabilizers, including hindered amine light stabilizers (HALS), UV absorbers, and benzoates. The exact formulation to be used is dependent on the substrate, performance requirements, and other factors, and should be determined by the user based on testing to simulate actual conditions of use. Please contact your Mayzo representative for specific recommendations for your application.
Storage
This product may be stored up to two years in a sealed container. Containers should be kept tightly closed when not in use and stored in a cool, dry place.
